Job Summary
The Automation Controls Engineer will collaborate with the automation team to design and test fixtures, robotic cells, and end-of-arm tooling, ensuring operator safety. Responsibilities include designing electrical and pneumatic circuits, programming PLCs and HMIs, and creating documentation such as SOPs. The role requires strong competencies in engineering principles, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in robotics and automated equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Technical degree in engineering and 3 years related equivalent education/experience
- 10 years experience in Robotics and Automated Equipment
Desired Qualifications
- PLC programming
- Pneumatic and electrical schematic reading and creation
- Pneumatic valve and cylinder sizing
- Solidworks experience
- Project management
- Fabrication, plumbing, and wiring skills
- Programming experience with Omron, Denso, ABB, Allen Bradley, InduSoft, IMPACT, Cognex
