Automation & Controls Engineer

Job Summary
Design and implement complex automation equipment including control systems and robotics. Generate electrical schematics and BOMs, develop and document control system software for PLCs, HMIs, PCs, and robots, and review project schedules to meet targets. Test and debug machines, support installation and commissioning at customer facilities, and assist with machine operation manuals sections related to Controls and Operation. Travel for machine installation and sales meetings, with collaboration across customers, vendors, and internal teams. Proficient in robotic/PLC/HMI programming, robot simulations, and creating robust designs using structured programming; familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Fanuc, and other controls platforms; experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools.
Required Qualifications
- BS/AS Degree in Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of Industrial Automation experience
- Experience with various controls platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and others)
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
- Must be able to travel up to 30%
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or other drafting software
- Experience with programming robots (ABB, Fanuc, and others)
