Job Summary
Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Automation and Process Control Engineer in Fayetteville, NC. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and 0-5 years of experience in process automation. Responsibilities include providing electrical and instrument support, implementing DCS and PLC software changes, and ensuring safety and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or High school diploma with 10+ years of equivalent work experience
- Minimum 0-5 years of process automation and control engineering experience or relevant coop experience
- Competent in basic electrical and instrument design, maintenance, and installation
- Knowledgeable in flow, pressure, temperature, level, PH and conductivity transmitters and sensing elements
- Knowledge on Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
- Knowledgeable in variable frequency drives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Rockwell Automation
- Six Sigma certified as Green Belt
- Competent in Safety Interlock Systems
- Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) & Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD) experience
- Work experience in a chemical manufacturing process or oil / gas industry
