Job Summary
Analyze, research, design, develop, and test equipment, materials, and processes while devising modeling and measuring techniques to troubleshoot machine control problems. Create PLC and HMI programs, hardware designs, and modifications using Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, and RS View Studio, alongside Fanuc robotic system programming. Complete assigned work orders that define specific tasks, utilizing controls tools to automate existing processes and improve efficiency. Develop electrical and controls drawings, program ladder logic systems, and integrate hardware devices including relays, VFDs, and sensors within a production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering and or must be currently attending college as a senior
- Background in control networks, including Ethernet/IP
- Familiarity with plant manufacturing including electrical / controls technology in a production and processing environment, RS232 and RS485 protocol, vision and barcode scanning systems
- Experience in Automation Controls Programming experience with PLC Ladder Logic Systems and HMI
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of general programming practices
- Ability to understand and create electrical / controls drawings
- Excellent computer skills
- Willingness to learn and become proficient with all aspects of control engineering job functions
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000 and RS View Studio
- Knowledge of Fanuc robots, and robotic system programming
- Knowledge of hardware devices: relays, VFD's, sensors, basic controls devices
