Automatic Process Technician

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery, including PLCs, sensors, servo drives, robotic systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on automatic process lines to minimize downtime, monitor and adjust process parameters, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues. Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements, document activities in the CMMS, and train operators on equipment use. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requires 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, valid driver's license, and ability to work flexible schedules including overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2–5+ years of experience as an Automation Technician, Process Technician, or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in high-speed packaging, blow fill molding, assembly, or pharma manufacturing
- Basic programming skills (Python, ladder logic, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean principles and root cause analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures
- Flexible schedule including possible overtime and weekends when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Technical Associate's degree or trade school certification
- Experience with HMI interfaces, robotics (Fanuc, ABB, etc.), and vision systems
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
