Automatic Door Service Technician

Job Summary
Install, service, and repair automatic sliding, swing, folding, ADA push-plate, and storefront door operators while diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and sensor faults. Perform annual AAADM safety inspections, document compliance per ANSI/BHMA standards, and respond to dispatched service calls with an organized vehicle and accurate paperwork. Represent the brand professionally on every customer site, building relationships through clear communication and reliable service. Maintain a safety-conscious work environment and identify opportunities to provide additional products and services. AAADM certification is strongly preferred, and hands-on experience with major brands like Stanley, Horton, and Nabco is valuable.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience installing or servicing automatic doors
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of low-voltage electrical, relay logic, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- AAADM certification (current) — strongly preferred; we'll certify the right candidate at company expense
- Hands-on experience with major brands such as: Stanley, Horton, Record, Nabco, Besam, Dorma, ASSA ABLOY
- Familiarity with access control, card readers, and low-voltage security integration
- Experience with revolving doors, storefront, and commercial overhead/dock equipment
- 1-3 years of welding and/or electrical experience
