Job Summary
AOI Technician to support inspection and manufacturing processes by initiating/creating AOI visual inspection programs, tuning programs with Quality Engineers, and troubleshooting/repairing AOI equipment. Requires basic understanding of electronics manufacturing, SMT/IPC-A-610 standards, soldering processes, and PCB/electronics assembly. Responsibilities include developing inspection programs, maintaining flow of inspection, preventive maintenance, inventory management of spare parts, supporting production to keep product flowing, contributing to safety and continuous improvement efforts, and participating in manufacturing-improvement teams. Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, diagnostic and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, and excellent communication and organization are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma / GED / Vocational Technical Education is required.
- Associates Degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or similar degree is preferred.
- Strong Electrical/Mechanical skills and Computer skills
- Previous experience within an electronic or electromechanical manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently.
- Ability to work from electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, sketches and/or verbal instructions.
- High level of initiative and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience documenting processes
- High-proficiency computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
