Job Summary
Operate, setup, and changeover automated machines while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Perform troubleshooting, minor machine and tool repair, and preventative maintenance, assisting skilled trades in die repair and repairs. Review process books daily for quality or process changes, implement countermeasures, and ensure all quality standards are met. Maintain accurate, real-time production and quality reporting, ensuring equipment logs are filled out correctly. Re-teach robotic points, make tooling adjustments, and safely load new coils when applicable. Perform loading, unloading, and assembly operations as required. Participate in corrective action or continuous improvement activities and rework product as needed. Apply forklift certification at level 4 or above.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely and efficiently perform all assignments
- Ability to operate a forklift at level 4 or above
- Ability to effectively train future individuals given this position
- Ability to butt weld and load new coils in a safe manner
- Ability to re-teach/touch up robotic points
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, minor machine and tool repair, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to assist skilled trades in troubleshooting, machine repair, die repair, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to assist other automated machine operators with troubleshooting and repairs as needed
- Ability to maintain accurate and real time production and quality reporting
- Ability to ensure all equipment logs are filled out and accurate
- Ability to participate in corrective action or continuous improvement activities when necessary
- Ability to attend future training as deemed necessary for this position
- Ability to perform loading, unloading, and assembly operations as required by the assigned machine
