Job Summary
Review, accept, or reject traffic violations issued to motorists for infractions captured through automated enforcement systems. Examine red-light, bus lane, MTA, fixed, and mobile speed camera footage to determine if violations occurred, ensuring vehicle descriptions are accurate, license plates are legible, and registered owners are correct. Assess bus lane videos for illegal usage or improper passenger drop-offs/pick-ups. Review printed Notices of Liability for quality assurance and maintain accuracy subject to random quality assurance tests. Follow all procedures, standard operating procedures, and business rules set by the Automated Enforcement Unit and Department of Transportation.
Required Qualifications
- serving permanently in the title of Clerical Associate
- taken, passed, and be reachable on the Open Competitive Clerical Associate Exam # 3120
- four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
- one year of satisfactory clerical experience
- Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
- reside in NYC for the first two years of employment
