Job Summary
Create, modify, and maintain AutoCAD drawings for fabrication and production projects by reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Prepare detailed layouts, dimensions, and material specifications while ensuring all designs comply with company and industry standards. Work closely with fabrication, engineering, and production teams to support accurate design documentation and update drawings based on project changes and field modifications. Assist with project documentation and file management to facilitate efficient fabrication processes. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD software and the ability to interpret technical drawings in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software
- Ability to read and create technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and design principles
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to walk through fabrication and production areas as needed
- Ability to visually review detailed drawings and specifications
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment when required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in fabrication, drafting and industrial environments
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/design
