Job Summary
Repair vehicles to pre-accident OEM standards by inspecting for visible and hidden damage, replacing damaged body panels, doors, bumpers, and structural components, and performing frame straightening with measuring equipment. Disassemble and reassemble vehicles safely, execute MIG and spot welding, and prepare repaired surfaces for paint through sanding, grinding, masking, priming, and filling. Replace damaged glass and read OEM repair procedures to complete repairs meeting quality and safety standards, followed by final inspections and road tests. Maintain a clean work area and assist with shop duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of autobody repair experience
- Experience with frame straightening and measuring systems
- Strong vehicle disassembly and reassembly skills
- Ability to work with steel, aluminum, plastics, glass, and mechanical components
- Ability to read repair estimates and OEM repair procedures
- Valid driver's licence
- Own tools and CSA-approved safety footwear
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding work
