Job Summary
Repair vehicles to pre-accident OEM standards by inspecting for visible and hidden damage, replacing damaged body panels and structural components, and performing frame straightening with measuring equipment. Remove and install mechanical, electrical, and trim components while executing MIG and spot welding as required. Prepare repaired surfaces for paint through sanding, grinding, masking, priming, and filling, then replace damaged glass when necessary. Read and follow OEM repair procedures to complete repairs meeting quality and safety standards, followed by final quality inspections and road tests. Maintain a clean and organized work area while assisting with other shop duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of autobody repair experience
- 310B Auto Body Repairer License
- Valid driver's licence
- Own tools
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
Desired Qualifications
- 310Q (Red Seal) license
- I-CAR certifications
- OEM certifications
- I-CAR Welding Certification
- Experience with frame straightening and measuring systems
- Strong vehicle disassembly and reassembly skills
- Ability to work with steel, aluminum, plastics, glass, and mechanical components
- Ability to read repair estimates and OEM repair procedures
