Job Summary
Perform heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and large area bodywork including Bondo application on multiple vehicle panels. Execute stud welding and extensive bodywork while operating state-of-the-art tools in high-tech Inspection Centers. Train other autobody technicians if joining as an experienced prepper with five years of professional automotive bodywork experience. This role requires mandatory overtime based on business needs to ensure vehicles are delivered when expected. Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently. Carvana maintains a promise to sell only vehicles in first-rate condition, ensuring cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before reaching customers.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 3 years of professional automotive bodywork experience
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools
- must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- possess a valid driver's license
- subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
- ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment
- ability to work in excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
- Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
- Ability to work mandatory overtime based on business needs
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
