Job Summary
Examine vehicles for collision-related damage and document repair time and effort to pre-accident condition per industry standards and insurance guidelines. Tear down and re-assemble vehicles using MIG and spot resistance welders. Replace panels, straighten, grind, sand, and fill repair panels, and fix frames and unibody structures with a frame rack. Provide your own basic tools and maintain a high standard for quality. This journey-level role supports Chilton Auto Body's San Francisco Bay Area locations, offering advancement opportunities within the company.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive collision repair (3+ years for A-tech level)
- Knowledge of automotive disassembly and reassembly
- Detail oriented
- Organized
- High standard for quality
- Ability to provide own basic tools
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Agreement to and pass a thorough background check
