Entry-level Auto Service Technician responsibilities include basic automotive maintenance such as oil changes, oil filters, fluid checks, air filters, battery checks, charging system checks, bulbs and wipers replacement, and road testing. Tire Service involves tire rotation, mounting and balancing, wheel alignment checks, and complete vehicle courtesy checks. The role also covers diagnosing and repairing brakes, suspension, steering, and exhaust components, installing parts (shocks, struts, and accessories), and informing store management of mechanical issues.
