Job Summary
Diagnose issues through analysis and testing, perform routine service inspections, and repair automobiles and light trucks as assigned. Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service, ensure documentation compliance with regulations, and uphold shop safety and environmental standards. Stock inventory and perform general functions to keep the shop running efficiently. Complete all required staff meetings, training, and educational classes while following strict shop policies and procedures. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
- Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience
- ASE certification
- Virginia State Inspection License
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Highly professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service-oriented
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Master, A Class, and B Class Techs
- Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred
