Job Summary
Collect, clean, organize, and distribute storage totes to shipping, receiving, and production areas. Move freight, stock, and materials using pallet jacks and forklifts between storage zones, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers. Maintain equipment storage areas to protect inventory. Receive and process orders, review them for completeness, and fill in missing information or contact customers as needed. Read work orders or oral instructions to determine assignments, sort cargo before loading and unloading, and record units handled using daily production sheets. Push and pull pallets of merchandise while reading orders to ascertain part numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities. Perform other duties as assigned. This Safety Sensitive position requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer
- Ability to regularly stand
- Ability to regularly walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally climb or balance
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

- Ability to wear safety appropriate clothing in the warehouse, including close-toed shoes
- Ability to not use earbuds or any other devices which interfere with their ability to hear

- Ability to work in a drug-free workplace
- Ability to work in a safety sensitive position due to the use of heavy equipment, moving conveyors and hazardous material
