Job Summary
Organize and distribute shipping totes across warehouse areas including shipping, receiving, and stocking. Move freight, stock, and materials between storage, production, loading docks, and vehicles using pallet jacks and forklifts. Collect, clean, and sort cargo while reading work orders to determine assignments and material needs. Record units handled using daily production sheets and review orders for completeness, contacting customers for missing information. Maintain equipment storage areas to protect inventory. This role supports the aftermarket automotive parts business, which operates 220 locations across 12 states.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer
- Ability to regularly stand
- Ability to regularly walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally climb or balance
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
