Job Summary
Conduct over-the-counter direct sales to customers, taking orders in-person and by phone for aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty parts, and body shop supplies. Assist in determining parts needed, locate and pull parts for orders, and tag orders for delivery. Process incoming inventory, put up stock, and handle cash and credit transactions while properly invoicing or crediting customer accounts. Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance, perform assigned training, and complete knowledge tests. Demonstrate courteous conduct toward customers and coworkers, comply with safety guidelines, and safely drive a vehicle in various conditions. Clean the building area and perform any other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle in different weather and traffic conditions
- Ability to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
