Job Summary
Over-the-counter auto parts sales role providing friendly, courteous in-person customer service, taking orders by phone, and supporting store operations. Will mentor and provide direction to junior Counter Salespersons and/or Delivery Drivers, train others on parts knowledge and store processes, and assist in end-of-day/month reporting. Emphasizes customer service, sales incentives, understanding pricing and discounts, parts availability, and accurate cash/credit handling. May assume supervisory duties in the absence of the store manager and contribute to team collaboration to meet customer needs and store goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED
- Previous professional automotive parts counter sales experience and ability to reconcile/balance accounting figures
- Prior leadership experience, or independent decision making abilities preferred
