Job Summary
Conduct direct sales of aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty components, and body shop supplies by taking in-person and phone orders while recommending solutions to customers. Manage cash and credit transactions, invoice accounts, and process core returns. Locate and pull parts, organize stock, and assign deliveries to drivers. Perform store operations including opening/closing, inventory checks, and cleaning duties. Mentor junior counter sales staff and delivery drivers when assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED
- Three to four years of professional automotive parts experience
- over five years of hobbyist automotive parts experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
