Job Summary
Auto Parts Counter Sales II position focusing on over-the-counter and phone-order sales in a Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts environment. Responsibilities include providing courteous customer service, assisting customers in selecting parts, recommending solutions, processing cash/credit transactions, pulling and stocking parts, collaborating with teammates, mentoring junior counter sales or delivery drivers, and supporting store operations with a focus on inventory and safety compliance. The role emphasizes sales-oriented activities, knowledge of auto parts, and a willingness to participate in incentive programs. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, and several years of automotive Parts experience. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED
- Three to four years of professional automotive parts experience or over five years of hobbyist automotive parts experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid drivers license (Class E required for all Missouri locations) and clean driving record
