Job Summary
Provide friendly, in-person and phone sales to customers for aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty components, and paint. Research stock availability, pull parts for orders, and manage cash and credit transactions while handling core returns. Maintain store cleanliness, open/close the store if assigned, and assist with end-of-day processing. Mentor junior staff and coordinate deliveries when applicable. Prioritize order fulfillment and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED
- Three to four years of professional automotive parts experience
- over five years of hobbyist automotive parts experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
