Job Summary
Conduct direct over-the-counter sales of aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty components, and paint supplies while processing in-person and phone orders. Assist customers in identifying needed parts, locate inventory, and pull items for delivery. Manage cash and credit transactions, invoice customer accounts, and handle core returns in compliance with safety guidelines. Maintain a clean work environment by stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and performing general cleaning duties. Operate a vehicle safely for deliveries and store operations. Complete assigned training programs and knowledge tests to develop product expertise.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- motivation to pursue a GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
