Job Summary
Conduct over-the-counter direct sales for automotive replacement parts, heavy-duty components, and body shop supplies while processing customer orders in-person and by phone. Assist customers in determining parts needs, research inventory status and pricing through store systems, and locate or pull parts to complete orders. Manage cash and credit transactions, invoice accounts, and handle core returns following manager instructions. Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing stock, while safely driving a vehicle for deliveries or store inventory support. Complete assigned training programs and knowledge tests to develop product line expertise.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- motivation to pursue a GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
