Job Summary
Conduct over-the-counter direct sales and take orders in-person and by phone for aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty parts, and body shop supplies. Assist customers in determining parts needs, research stock numbers and inventory status, and locate/pull parts for orders while tagging them for delivery. Process cash and credit transactions, invoice customer accounts, and handle core returns. Maintain neat stock areas, clean the building, and safely drive a vehicle in various weather conditions. Complete assigned training programs and learn store systems. Demonstrate courteous conduct toward customers and coworkers while following safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- motivation to pursue a GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
