Job Summary
Conduct direct sales to customers in-person and by phone, taking orders for aftermarket automotive replacement parts, heavy-duty parts, auto paint, and body shop supplies. Assist customers in determining parts needs, research inventory status and pricing through computer systems and catalogs, and locate, pull, and tag orders for delivery. Process cash and credit transactions, invoice customer accounts, and handle core returns while maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance. Complete assigned training programs, including knowledge tests, and perform general store duties such as cleaning, stocking, and inventory management. Drive a vehicle safely in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- motivation to pursue a GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
