Job Summary
Conduct direct sales of aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty components, and auto paint by taking in-person and phone orders while assisting customers in determining parts needs. Process cash and credit transactions, invoice accounts, and handle core returns per manager instructions. Locate and pull parts for orders, tag deliveries, and manage inventory by processing incoming stock, straightening shelves, and maintaining building cleanliness. Complete assigned training programs and knowledge tests, learn store systems, and drive safely in various conditions. Maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- motivation to pursue a GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
