Job Summary
Conduct direct sales to customers in-person and by phone, taking orders for aftermarket automotive parts, heavy-duty parts, auto paint, and body shop supplies. Assist customers in determining parts needs, research stock numbers and inventory status, and pull parts to complete orders. Process cash and credit transactions, invoice accounts, and handle core returns. Manage store inventory by locating, pulling, and organizing stock while maintaining a clean building environment. Operate a vehicle safely in various conditions and complete assigned training programs. Work full-time, hourly, with eligibility for incentives and bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED
- Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle in different weather and traffic conditions
- Ability to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Post offer, pre-employment drug testing acceptance
Desired Qualifications
- One year of professional automotive parts experience
- Two years of hobbyist automotive parts experience
