Job Summary
Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, or online by identifying parts needs through cross-referencing vehicle models and specifications. Provide expert recommendations for alternative parts, upgrades, and additional products while resolving complaints professionally. Accurately enter parts orders into the system, verify availability, and manage inventory by organizing the counter and warehouse to ensure proper storage and labeling. Prepare orders for pickup or delivery, process returns and exchanges, and maintain records of sales transactions and inventory movements. Ensure the parts counter area remains clean and safe, adhering to all safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in retail or automotive parts sales
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and accessories
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using POS systems and inventory tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Candidates must meet employment eligibility requirements as established by U.S. federal law
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- College coursework or certification in automotive or sales
