Job Summary
Perform assigned diagnostic repair and maintenance on customer vehicles, including A/C evacuation and charging, brake cylinder replacement, clutch failure analysis, and transmission fluid changes. Execute full electrical diagnostics using schematics to trace harness issues, identify root causes for starting/cranking problems, and repair lighting systems. Conduct preventative maintenance by resetting service intervals, inspecting cooling systems for leaks, and diagnosing suspension noises. Assist with general shop duties such as cleaning, vehicle staging, and tire/wheel maintenance while providing prompt service to internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive repair field
- Proficient diagnostic skills
- Certifications A-4, A-5 and A-7
- Proficient in brake, tire and wheel, a/c, battery charge and check
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license that meets the requirements
- Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to follow company operating procedures
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers
- Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment
- Must be able to practice and promote teamwork at all times
- Must be able to set a good personal example of attitude and performance
- Must be able to perform Light to Medium Physical Work
- Must have color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions
- Must be able to stand, watch, touch, listen, walk, reach, grasp, stoop, perform repetitive motion, pull, balance, kneel, crouch, push, lift
- Must be able to talk and climb
- Must be able to run, jump, yell or perform other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations
- Must be able to work in both inside and outside environmental working conditions
- Must be able to tolerate temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems
- Must be able to tolerate fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations
- Must pass a complete background check
Desired Qualifications

- Progress toward obtaining certifications during the first year in role
