Job Summary
Perform assigned diagnostic repair and maintenance on customer vehicles in a high-production shop, covering A/C and heater systems, brakes, electrical charging, clutch, cooling, starting/cranking, lighting, drive axles, driveline, gas engines, fuel systems, tire and wheel maintenance, and preventive maintenance. Track and record vehicle information following department processes while assisting with general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking, and staging. Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers while maintaining a professional appearance and neat work environment. Practice and promote teamwork at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license that meets the requirements
- Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to perform Light to Medium Physical Work
- Ability to stand, watch, touch, listen, walk, talk
- Ability to run, jump, yell or perform other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations
- Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow company operating procedures
- Interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment
- 2 to 3 years of experience in automotive repair field
- Basic computer skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Hardworking, motivated team player
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 2 ASE Certifications preferred
