Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and transmission flushes while diagnosing OBD II systems, brakes, tires, and electrical components. Execute light to major repairs on general automotive parts, troubleshoot complex hydraulic systems for specialized trucks, and conduct state safety and emissions testing. Maintain vehicle history records, keep the shop area clean, and coordinate with vendors for parts and repairs. Provide roadside assistance and moderate design tasks such as welding when needed. Work a day shift at a specified Cox location in Manheim, NJ, earning $24.23-$36.35/hour with a $1,500 new hire bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years vehicle service and repair experience
- Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
- No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, climb, and tolerate excess noise levels, car exhaust and outdoor weather conditions
- Must have close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Continue training to maintain current A.S.E. status and to meet with technology and fleet changes as they occur
- Some A.S.E. Automotive or Truck Certification or other related certifications
