Job Summary
Tag and label product while using handheld equipment to move and direct castings throughout the finishing department. Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness, complete full visual inspections of all castings, and inspect tools and machinery for defects. Operate air hoists to move parts over 50 lbs and practice high-level safety at all times. Attend weekly safety meetings and mandatory stretching exercises once per shift. Maintain cleanliness of work station, tools, and PPE. This entry-level opportunity allows cross-training as an Auto Grind Operator and gaining experience in various production tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time
- Must actively engage in safe working practices
- Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
- Must be comfortable with the intense physical demands of the position
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be available to work 8-10 hour shifts
- Must be available for overtime as production needs require
- Monday – Friday, some Saturdays required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience utilizing basic hand tools, hoists is preferred
- Previous foundry experience a plus
- Basic computer skills
- The ability to drive a forklift
