Auto Glass Technician at Portland Glass (Neighborly) responsible for repair or replacement of windshields and installation of auto glass parts, with opportunities to learn latest auto glass procedures and meet safety regulations. Performs hands-on technical work and related administrative tasks, interacts with customers to explain work to be performed, and engages in varied responsibilities including glass cutting, calibration, and use of tools/software. Required Qualifications
- Prior automotive glass experience or 3+ years of relevant experience in the automotive industry required
- Proficient use of hand tools
- Carpentry related skills (reading a tape measure, safely using power tools, ability to read blueprints, basic construction math)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service/phone skills
- Ability to use computers, mobile devices and related technology
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test, per applicable state laws
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Education: High School diploma or GED
