Job Summary
Auto Glass Technician responsible for replacing broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles, installs auto glass in-shop or on a mobile basis using proper tools and techniques, completes required paperwork, maintains a safe driving record, and provides excellent customer service. Role may involve loading glass, reporting installation issues to management, and ensuring equipment is operating properly. Requires high school diploma or GED (preferred), 4-6 years of related experience, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to stand for long periods. Eligible for Full Time benefits including PTO, parental leave, holidays, health insurance, 401(k), disability and life insurance, and safety glasses. Compensation includes hourly pay range $30-$40 per hour or commission, with the higher amount paid.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 4-6 years of related work experience is required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able stand for long periods of time in the installation of glass
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling glass
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Mechanical aptitude and the skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment
