Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee responsibilities include performing repairs, replacements, and recalibrations of automotive glass in Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop, delivering safety, quality, and exceptional customer service, and maintaining tools and equipment. Key duties involve operating Safelite tools (True Seal, Ezi-Wire, Glass Table System), performing recalibrations, driving company vehicles, communicating with customers via in-person, text, and phone, promoting Safelite services, and adhering to all policies. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, outdoor work readiness, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and English communication. Training is provided with paid training and tools provided; compensation starts at $20.25/hour, rising to $24.00/hour after training/certification, with additional incentives and benefits described.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Safelite SafeTech certification required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and compliance with safety monitoring systems
- Customer-service focus and ability to communicate effectively
