Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee performs repair, replacement, and recalibration of vehicle glass in Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop, utilizing Safelite tools and technologies (e.g., True Seal, Ezi-Wire, GTS) to deliver safety-focused, high-quality service. Responsibilities include driving company vehicles as needed, interacting with customers in person/via text/phone, promoting Safelite services, and adhering to safety and organizational policies. Training is provided with paid progression to technician levels; benefits package and tuition reimbursement are offered. Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), a valid driver’s license, and Safelite SafeTech certification. Must meet age and physical requirements and be able to perform duties with lifting, standing, and use of tools; flexibility with start/end times and weather conditions; ability to read/write English and communicate effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate company vehicle (Required)
- Safelite SafeTech certification (Required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older (Required)
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate a vehicle and comply with safety policies
