Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite. Responsible for performing vehicle glass repairs, replacements, and recalibrations in shop or Mobile Glass Shop settings, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Requires operation of Safelite tools (True Seal®, Ezi-WireTM, Glass Table System), use of diagnostic tools for recalibrations, driving company vehicles, and effective communication with customers. Training provided, with paid training, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and career advancement based on performance. Must meet minimum qualifications including a high school diploma or GED/equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and Safelite SafeTech certification, be at least 18, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (Preferred)
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle (Required)
- Safelite SafeTech certification (Required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older (Required)
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Proficiency in reading/writing English and following technical directions
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle with compliance to laws and safety monitoring
