Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become an auto glass technician and earn Safelite SafeTech certification. Responsibilities include observing and assisting with auto glass installation and repair, recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting through diagnostic testing, providing additional services and products, studying and passing tests to demonstrate proficiency, and safely operating company vehicles and tools. The role emphasizes hands-on and classroom training, a positive attitude, and delivering high-quality workmanship to customers. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations
- Ability to read, write and interpret English and technical directions
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Willingness to work scheduled days with flexible start/end times
- Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to safely handle chemicals as applicable per safety policies
- Commitment to customer service and quality workmanship
