Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Technician through hands-on and classroom training. After completing the program, the trainee will possess Safelite SafeTech certification and perform unsupervised auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations. Responsibilities include observing and assisting in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing, providing additional services and products, studying and passing tests to demonstrate proficiency, operating company vehicles and tools, and maintaining professional customer service with a positive attitude. Competitive pay starts at $20.25/hour and increases to $24.00/hour after training/certification, plus benefits, tuition reimbursement, and other company programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
