Job Summary
Trainee will be trained to become an auto glass technician through hands-on and classroom training, culminating in Safelite SafeTech certification. Responsibilities include observing and assisting with installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, diagnosing issues, providing additional services, and studying to demonstrate proficiency to perform unsupervised work. The role requires operating company vehicles and tools, complying with policies, and performing other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (Preferred)
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with safety policies
- Willingness to learn and obtain Safelite SafeTech certification
- Proficient in reading/writing English and following technical directions
- Excellent customer service and professionalism
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexible start/end times
- Ability to pass training and tests to become certified technician
