Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become an auto glass technician and will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification after completing the program. The role includes hands-on and classroom training to observe/assist in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting, and performing diagnostic testing. Trainees will provide additional services/products, study and pass testing to demonstrate proficiency, operate company vehicles and tools, and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and bend/twist
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with laws; consent to monitored driving
- Proficiency in English (reading/writing) and understanding technical directions
- Willingness to participate in paid training and earn Safelite-certified Technician status
