Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee training program including hands-on installs, repairs, and recalibrations for Safelite SafeTech certification. Responsibilities include observing and assisting in glass installation, recalibrating safety systems, providing additional services, studying and passing tests to become certified, safely operating company vehicles and tools, and maintaining customer service standards while working in a fast-paced environment. Earn starting pay of $20.25/hour with training progression to $24/hour after certification; includes tuition reimbursement, benefits, and paid training. Education preferred: High School Diploma or GED-equivalent; valid driver's license required. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions; proficiency with diagnostic tools and English communication is needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with safety policies
- Willingness to participate in training and obtain Safelite-certified Technician status
- Ability to read, write and understand English; strong communication skills
