Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee will be trained to become a proficient auto glass technician. Through hands-on and classroom training, observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing, and provide additional services & products. Upon completing the training, the trainee will study to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations while upholding high-quality standards and customer service. The program includes paid training, tools, and a benefits package, with potential for promotion and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (Preferred)
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to operate a vehicle and comply with safety policies
- Willingness to work scheduled days with flexible start/end times
- Proficiency with English language and basic reading/writing for technical directions
