Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Technician through a hands-on and classroom program. Responsibilities include observing and assisting in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing, providing additional services and products, and studying to pass certification. The role requires safe operation of company vehicles and tools, adherence to safety policies, and a positive, customer-focused attitude with opportunities for advancement within the first year.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Willingness to participate in training and earn Safelite-certified Technician status
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform recalibrations using diagnostic tools
- Comply with safety, policies, and PPE requirements
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexible start/end times
