Job Summary
A Technician Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Auto Glass Technician. Through paid hands-on and classroom training, the trainee observes/assists in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrates automotive safety systems, completes diagnostic testing, and provides additional services. The program leads to Safelite SafeTech certification; the role emphasizes delivering high-quality workmanship, customer service, and timely completion of jobs, with potential for advancement based on performance. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to read, write, and interpret English; communicate verbally
- Willingness to be trained and obtain Safelite-certified Technician status
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexible start/end times
- Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions
- Ability to work with chemicals safely
- Interest in repairing/replacing auto glass and recalibrating safety systems
- Proactive, service-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow safety and PPE policies
