Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Auto Glass Technician, performing glass repair, replacement and recalibrations, with hands-on and classroom training, observing assistants, and progressing to supervised installations and diagnostic testing. The role includes learning to recalibrate automotive safety systems, providing additional services, operating company vehicles, and meeting performance standards to achieve certification. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to read, write and interpret English and technical directions
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Willingness to work scheduled days with flexible start/end times
