Job Summary
Paid training to become a Safelite-certified Technician Trainee. The role includes observing and assisting in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, performing diagnostic testing, providing additional services and products, and learning to safely operate company vehicles and tools. The program leads to Safelite SafeTech certification and requires following safety and quality standards while delivering excellent customer service. Competitive weekly pay begins at $21.25/hour and increases to $25.25/hour after training and certification, plus benefits and tuition reimbursement. Strong emphasis on hands-on learning, a can-do attitude, and professional appearance in a customer-facing role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting
- Willingness to participate in training to obtain Safelite-certified Technician status
- Commitment to customer service and quality work
