Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Auto Glass Technician, performing observed/assisted installations and repairs of auto glass, recalibrations of automotive safety systems, and diagnostic testing. The role includes paid hands-on and classroom training, potential for promotion within the first year, and a comprehensive benefits package. Key duties include observing and assisting with installations and repairs, recalibrating safety systems, troubleshooting with computerized diagnostic tools, and providing additional services and products. Required qualities include a positive attitude, good customer service, ability to operate company vehicles/tools, adherence to safety policies, and the capacity to work flexible hours to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn Safelite certification
- Ability to read/write English and follow technical directions
